Haf X lots of dust. - Page 2

I have an electric shop vac that converts to a leaf blower. It cleans my PC out in about 20 seconds.

Do you mean the dust filter on the side? That just means that it works. Take the fan + duct off, dust off the filter, I think it's washable, let it dry, put it back in.

For the stuff that does get in over time canned air is great, and you rarely have to actually take anything apart, if you use canned air every once in a while.

If you have any kind of air coming into your case, there is going to be dust. That's just how it is. Dust filters only do so much (along with constricting airflow) when it comes to blocking dust out. Dust builds up a nice coat in the filter, but if air wants to continue getting into the case at all, there's simply going to be dust.

----> |||/| ---->
(filter, then fan)

If there's a filter right up against a fan, and the fan's blades are spinning, some of that built up dust is going to end up being pulled through one way or another. The only real way to have no dust come in your case is to have no fresh air coming in.

My method is running fans unrestricted, you get maximum airfl0w, so the dust doesn't affect temperatures too badly, and when it gets bad enough I simply blow it out with a compressor.

I have this...
I would also invest in a HEPA filter...(for your room)
Vac your room 1st as it is the source of the dust/dirt...
Maybe you can look for some filter medium you can stuff in the air inlets and cut to size...
