I wish I knew this before I got my card. I think the forte is pretty awesome. It isn't a massive difference compared to onboard like my previous card did; though I've only played with a HD555 with them. I think I'm going to stick to HT Omega or ASUS next time. I only skipped on HT because of their poor vista drivers. frown.gif

Aye. I will still continue to say Auzentech makes amazing products, but I cannot endorse them because of their terrible customer support.

I got an Asus Xonar Essence STX to replace my Forte. I don't care for Dolby Headphone though, so I traded the STX back to the guy who sold it to me for a Creative X-Fi Titanium HD. Still waiting to get that card, but I personally just can't live without CMSS-3D while gaming.

Well crap. I have a X-Fi Forte 7.1 and it's dying on me after only owning it 12 months. I emailed their tech support twice in the past 2 days and haven't heard anything back. I bought the card because people were raving about it, but customer service is as important as the hardware itself. Now I'm anticipating and awful experience getting warranty help on their failing product.

Ugh. God help me.
