Fan LED wont turn on.

Thread Starter
I just bought a Cooler Master 200mm case fan that has red LEDs on it, it also has a 2 pin LED control along with the 3 pin power connector. The LED wont turn on unless I leave it plugged into a 2 pin LED controller but I do not have one. If I remove the 2 pin cable from the board will the LEDs turn on?

You mean like removing the cable from the board inside the fan ?
I am not sure, but if its a controller, wouldnt it work if you short the two pins?
