Is it possible to mix these two using it on RAM heatsinks?

Sure you can, to what end?
Thermal adhesive is thermal paste, but with added components to make it stick.
If you add paste, it may not stick.

Or you can be ghetto and use just paste and then hold the heatsinks on with binder clips or duct tape(probably not the best idea) or something. <.<

Well, it's just that I've read it is much more easier to yank the heatsinks off when there's a problem with the card (e.g RMA).

Thanks for the answers.

But getting the proper ratio is the hard part. Too little and they sinks stay stuck, to much and they fall off on their own.

Why not thermal tape? Comes off much easier than (most) thermal adhesive, and work well.

Yeah if you prepare the chip surface well, and apply tons of pressure, thermal tape performance is legit.

I'm really thinking about trying this out on the vrms on my 6950. The two smaller ones don't hold too well with thermal tape.
