are you running 12GB in 3x4 on a AMD system..
if so you shouldnt be..
you've got lots of RAM but not necessarily the greatest performance because your 3 sticks are not running in triple channel... not even dual channel... but are in fact being forced into single channel! Perhaps a better choice would've been getting 2x4GB, 4x4GB or 2x4GB + 2x2GB. If you can take it back, you should. There is a very big, noticeable difference between single channel and dual channel. AMD prefers 2 sticks in dual channel; AMD does NOT support triple channel. in fact, you can actually run 8gb in dual channel and it will run FASTER and more efficient than 12gb in single.
This is also your DRAM frequency your ram is running @1333.
id suggest either purchasing a additional 4gb or taking one out..Edited by SteveClay - 2/1/11 at 12:19pm
