Popin caps gtx 275 - Page 2

:Ddont remove the ihs.... I have never done it but I have also never read anything positive about it from those who hav e tried. A water block is fine what you need to do to produce better temps is choose a medium that will get you below ambient. If you really wanna see the card fly hook your vapochill up to it. Or you can just put your radiator in ice water. Either way you get the drift

well with the clocks in my sig it was chillin around 44-47 during gaming. i know now NOT to use furmark but it never got over 50 during extream burning.i have some pretty weak sauce panaflows on my rad ATM. i have thought about doing a water chill systems more times than i care to admit. i just like having cooling that is 24/7 and is in someway portable. my rig is already right around 100lbs as it sits. i have yet to take it to a lan, but my buddy has one coming up the 19th:rolleyes:. i guess il just leave the IHS alone. photo.jpg
photo2.jpg i just jumped the PSU in this pic sys was not on.

http://www.quietpc.com/gb-en-gbp/products/watercooling/zm-wb4-gold this guy. I had it on my Opty a while back, it's been gathering cobwebs until a couple weeks ago. I think it's a pretty good design, but than again I have not seen alot of blocks. Seems like it provides lots of surface area and turbulence.

Sexy card and sexy rig......Lol your going to cart that to a lanparty, you should strap it to a dolly. I know what you mean about 24\7 cooling I used to struggle with that too untill I just gave up. Your going to be hard pressed to safely hit 2000mhz shaders on any thing less than about 20 degrees load on your gpus. Of coarse there are exeptions but I think you would know if your card could do it by now. There is really no point in taking your card any further as far as voltage goes seems like youve maxed it out. Which is a good thing. If you keep feeding it voltage chances are your performance will only suffer and you will risk your card. You should start running standard benchmarks to keep track of what sort of performance gains your getting. Ive had luck in the past with unlocking the shaders from the core clock and got some extra juice out of it, not sure how stable that would be for gaming though. Certainly looks like you know your way around your pc if you arent on a team already you should join the ocn hwbot team.

Thnx:D. that water block was too purty to just let it sit their and collect dust. il look into joing a team. i had noticed the other night when i was messing with the card that lowering the core clock allowed me to up the shaders more. i could also tell with my set of clock speeds that i had more return on performance with upping the shader clocks. so i had the coltage at 1.35 is this about that max for this size nm gpu? i would be happy if i could just rock out the clocks i was using when the caps went:drum:. cant wait to get off work and get mah caps on;). ill load up heaven and resident evil bench and start at the factory oc settings and bench all the way up to my max clocks tonight.

Wellllllllllllll crap..... I was removing my heat sink when I acidently popped off my volt mod on one side. The side between the 2 dustmite sized resistors. There's a pic for the ref gtx275 point In the vid card mod list. Any I think I pulled the contact point off frown.gif. Was this just a point to connect these 2 resistors?? Or did it run the the othere side of the card?or both? If it did do both could I just run a jumper wire to the othere side?
