Problem w/ speakers. Help Please!

Hey guys,

I just assembled my first ever gaming rig and the ONLY problem I am having now is with the speakers. I bought the Creative Inspire T3130 2.1 Speakers and am having issues with the volume control. I plugged them up and everything and the volume knob on them is not working. It stays at one volume (pretty loud) no matter what I turn the knob to. Also (and this makes me think it is a user issue) when I change the volume on my desktop it doesnt adjust for when I'm playing games. So basically, the only way I can change the volume when I'm playing games is to go through the game menu and do it. Maybe it's a driver issue, but I'm not sure what to download as I am still pretty new to this.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

Fill out your system specs so we know what you are working with. One thing you can do is right click on "computer" from the start menu and then click "manage". From there look at the "Device Manager" and see if anything has an exclamation point next to it. If it is a driver, you should be able to figure out which one it is from there.

If you plug headphones into the green 3.5mm port on the back of the computer can you adjust the volume then?

OK, so I plugged the headphones in and they worked fine. I actually CAN now adjust the volume from the computer while I'm playing games, but the volume knob still doesnt work.

Also, my keyboard has volume control on it on the F1-F3 keys but they don't work. I i could just change the volume from the keyboard and forget the volume knob I would be fine. Any advice.

I have filled out my system specs.
