Painting red thing on EVGA GTX 260?

Looking to paint this white to match my case

Just going to leave it simple and ask if anyone has done this or something like this and what they did, thanks

As you can see, it would match if it was white.

I don't see any reason as to why this wouldn't work. I have a mostly blue computer, and I just upgraded to a 275, and that red piece COMPLETELY ruins it.. I'd love to see some pictures when done! I will probably do the same with I have the time.

Neat, though if the RMA department is *****y, they might not accept the card since you modified it, just in case if ever breaks down.

Ok one thing to remember is that the heat pipes are welded or something onto the piece

Don't use the heat pipes to pry it off and you should be fine.

I dented one of them in 2 places but it didn't go that deep.

Maybe heat it up with a torch or something else to help get it off?

The odd thing is it has 3 screws to hold it in place yet it's STILL welded/epoxy'd in several places so we couldn't get it off easily

Oooh... In that case, I probably won't do it. I didn't think about the fact that it would be welded. Derp.. Thanks for the heads up!
