They put something like a 'credit reserve' on your Dell account. Dell does this so you don't just take the 2nd monitor. They overnight the new monitor with a shipping label. You place the broken monitor back in the old box (or new box if you threw out the old box). Then you put the shipping label on it and drop it off at the closest FedEx location. Once they receive your monitor, they will remove the charge on the 2nd monitor.

Err... I don't think that is the result of the monitor itself. It looks like a problem with your graphics card or the drivers.
Don't take a screenshot and say that is the monitor's fault. That is not how screenshots work.

If you have bad tinting on a monitor, the screenshot would look normal but taking a photograph would show the flaws.

Those screenshots you posted definitely show that there's something wrong with your video card, not the monitor.

This, screenshot =/= photograph. Monitor flaws are invisible on screenshots since the screenshots are taken directly from the graphics card, they haven't been through the monitor.

To me those screenshots look like the red+cyan 3D in the nvidia control panel got enabled somehow. Disable 3D and try again.

The dead pixels are ridiculous. Take a look at these awesome pink and green screenshots...

That is ridiculous. I think that's your graphics card. That seems odd for a GTX580 though.
