Can I mix these?

Hey guys
I'm thinking of buying a Dual-channel Mushkin Redline 2x2GB kit and mixing it with my current Blackline kit. My Blacklines OC great and I'd really love to keep them. My plan is getting 6 GB by using 2 sticks of Redlines and 2 Sticks of Blacklines (Each Blackline's a 1GB and each Redline's a 2GB). the Blacklines are running @ 2000MHz 9-9-9-24-1T atm, and are rated for 1600MHz 8-8-8-24. the Redlines are rated @ 1600MHz 6-8-6-24. I dont think the Blacklines would be bottlenecking the Redlines too much since they are great OCers. Do you think it'd work?

ehhhh... i highly doubt it. mixing capacities is not recommended, but mixing frequencies and timings can really confuse the memory controller.

I plan on running all sticks @ the same frequency&timings

Yes it will work simply because you're running the RAM at the same time and frequency. I've had mixed RAM in my secondary rig for YEARS and haven't had one problem. As the RAM will take to stock whatever your motherboard does regardless if you don't set timings.

Your Redlines/Blacklines will work together with no problems you shouldn't worry about a thing man.

I hope it will work. As long as mixing capacity works, the timings&frequency shouldnt be a problem. For example running both @ 1600MHz 8-8-8-24
