Possible to get 0.9 VID on 460 stock, possible?

My friend sent me his link of his voltage being very low at 0.900. Is he trolling me or did he really get a golden 460?

460 with 0.9 VID

why would u want to run on 0.9v , 5 , 10 minutes into gameplay the card will crash due to not having enough power .. Stock voltage is more than fine imo , no need to undervolt .

He said 0.900 is the stock voltage, which is in the video

That was according to GPU-z.

I asked you, what does Afterburner say.

When he shows it in Afterburner I'll believe him

My 470's stock voltage was 0.925 and would run stock clocks at 0.887. That was on a gf110. The gf104 is an improvement i see no reason to doubt he got a good card.

Also i GPUz is fine he was also at 100% load with voltage regulation disabled in AB. Meaning he hadn't touched it and it was not at 2d clocks.

Tell your friend congrats on the awesome card

one of my 470's runs .912 vid, the other unfortunately runs 1.0v

in sli, it will crash because my 1.0v runs at .912 and ends up failing or crashing 10 minutes into a game

That should not happen, both cards should run at their respective stock VID's, even in SLI, just fine. If you're using AB, then either set their voltages separately, or run them both at a voltage they're both okay with.

AFA the OP goes, yes it's totally possible. It's also totally possible to edit your bios and make the stock VID 900mV, provided the card is capable of running stock clocks at that low a voltage ... which is not impossible by any stretch. And there'd be no way to know it had been modified unless you looked at his bios in NiBiTor, and knew what to look for.

Usually Fermi's have a stock VID that's at least 50mV higher than it actually needs for stock clocks.
