thinking of getting rosewill challenger

Thread Starter
i want to get a new case and i'm on a budget. i was going to get the nzxt m59, but it went up $20 in price in last couple days for some reason and i'm on a budget (around $50). a lot of people, especially on ocn, classify rosewill as a garbage knockoff newegg-branded company. the challenger has everything i definitely want (good cooling, front/psu dust filters, black interior, decent cable management, cpu cooler cutout). is rosewill really garbage or are they a decent company aimed at budget builders? the newegg reviews are great for this case but it always seems that coolermaster or antec are automatically suggested (for example, the antec 300, which has absolutely no cable management features).

I have the Rosewill Blackbone, similar to the Challenger. I think it's a great case, it allows for some cable management. I should have went with the Challenger, but at the time. I didn't think about water cooling since there is a spot at the top. The fans that came with mine sucked, 800RPM fans that didn't move any kind of air. But it comes interior and outside black. You usually don't find that in budget cases. It's not that bad really.

I just built 2 cases using the Rosewill Destroyer. Great case but no cable management.

I bought a Challenger case a few months ago for a friend of mine that had his hardware in a ten year old case with nothing but a single 80mm exhaust fan. The steel is pretty thin, but it was a peach to build in - it's spacious, has a nice simple layout and nothing was out of place or otherwise problematic. If you're on a budget, you can do a lot worse than the Challenger/Blackbone/Destroyer cases. In fact, I'd take a good long look at the Destroyer, since it's a few bucks cheaper and is largely the same chassis (though the Challenger offers better cable management).

Another thing you might want to look at is the Antec 300. Right now, Newegg is offering it for $59.95 with a $15 rebate.
