what would cause this?

My pump will run with the power supply jumped. However, when I plug everything in with the 24 pin in the MB, I cannot keep power running through enough to power on everything and stay on....only thing that powers on is the red "heartbeat" of the motherboard, and the blue and yellow lights on the MB. When I hit the power button to take it out of standby, it tries to turn on and then turns off...indicating that it is not receiving constant power for some reason.

Any takes on what the prob. could be?

either your power supply is faulty, or the motherboard has a short. take your motherboard out along with your power supply, graphics cards and harddrive. use the stock intel heatsink on the i7 since taking a water loop apart is too much of a pain XD.

then set it up on a wooden table, make sure you sit your motherboard on the sheet of foam it comes on, this will stop anything touching it and shorting it out.

then see if it boots and works out of the case. if it does work out of the case, then your problem is something inside the case. if it doesnt work then youll need to get power supply from somewhere to test it. stick your graphics cards into another computer and see it they work as well. its all a process of elimination. best case is that your issue is in the case and is easy fixed like you have a mounting post in the wrong place and its touching a contact point on the board. worst case is that you have to sent your board or power supply for a RMA. lucky EVGA and Corsair are pretty customer friendly.

I don't understand how I could have a short or anything else... everything was working fine before I put a mcw80 on a 2nd gx card and moved reservoir around and changed pumps.
