i would GLADLY take that test because for me the difference was HUGE!

There is one online somewhere but I can't find it now

I have an addon for fubar2k that does it for any song in your library

EDIT: Found it! http://mp3ornot.com/

8GB is overkill unless you're using some heavy-duty software such as video editing.

If you want better sound, go for sound card(that Xonar DX is a good start). If you don't care much for sound, save your money.

What equipment did you use to test the difference?
The difference is in clarity via less distortion, not so much a change in how it sounds (frequency response).

The bad thing about computer hobbyists at times is that a lot of people are 'too much e-peen, too little common or practical sense'. This post is an example. Unless you are image editing, large file conversion / transcoding, running a server for a medium sized business off it or folding, games and normal applications do not utilise fully 8GB of RAM. Same really goes for overkill PSUs.

Thread Starter
I took that test and honestly I couldn't tell the difference between high and low quality. I just want decent sound for my system because I heard that my onboard audio was very outdated and that it could sound better. I am not an audio file person because it is mainly for games and some music. I will start with that card since it is so cheap and see if I can hear a difference. I am using Platronics Gamecon 377 headphones if that helps. Thanks
