5850 to 560ti or 570 upgrade?

Thread Starter
I am pretty much done with amd when it comes to graphic cards due to terrible drivers and other issues. I want to know is a 560ti or a 570 a reasonable match or upgrade from my current card.

I don't mean to offend any amd guy(I love my 965). Just needs some advice.

570 would be a more worthwhile upgrade in a single card, get 560 if you want to SLi in the future

You might want to think twice about going NVIDIA here.

AMD CPUs have trouble maxing out Fermi Based cards.

I have thought about this. I just filled my taxes and I am getting a pretty good amount back and I might just build Sandy bridge rig.

That's what I did =).

I used to have a AMD Phenom II X4 955 BE, and it struggled to get the most out of my GTX 470 in most games.

Now with this bad boy, GPU usage pegged @ 99%.

It would have the same issue with an AMD card of the same power level as a Fermi card. I.E. brands have nothing to do with it.

A single OC'd PHII x4 is good enough for a single 570 or below. It may BN you a bit in some highly CPU-dependent apps/games, but generally speaking it's a good enough chip for the GPU's you're considering.
