Upgrading "The Beast"

--------------------------------------
Case: HAF 932 -> HAF 932 Black Edition

HDD: Samung F3 1Tb -> same + OCZ 120gb Vertex2 SSD

PSU: 750TX -> 750HX

CPU: B550 x4 -> 2500k

Mobo: ASRock Extreme3 870 -> Gigabyte UD3P

RAM: 2x2GB Ripjaws 1600Mhz -> 2x4GB same

Sound: X-Fi titanium -> same

GPU: GTX 460 -> GTX 470

CPU Cooling: venemous-x black -> stock (FOR NOW) -> WC

GPU Cooling: Cyclone -> stock -> WC
--------------------------------------

When I start building this tommorow, I will take pics. Feeling to sick currently to do much, and gotta find battery to camera.

I will mark in RED what I have received currently.

Edit:

Got it up and running at 4GHz right now. Not going to go any higher until I get the WC setup. Temps are Ok..but its the intel stock cooler, might as well be nothing.

Gonna go chug some nyquil and lay down before I pass out due to this horrid flu bug.

-----------------

Update:

Got the 120GB SSD (Vertex 2) and wowowowowowow. Cannot even express the wicked speed change from even the fastest F3 spinny drive.

Seriously World of Warcraft all 30GB transfered to the SSD in 5min, and I was able to log-in with all textures loaded in about 20sec including typing in password everything!!!

Where-as it used to be about 1min 20sec to fully load everything! Just freaking insane!!!

Windows 7 no longer freezes on a black screen right before log-in. It instantly logs in and EVERYTHING is loaded in a blink of the eye...and I'm sure as I add programs that will go up to 5sec, where-as it used to take 1min + to get in which is slow if you are just staring at your monitor waiting like most of geeks/nerds do.

No offence, but that's EXTREMELY redundant. I mean, really buying another psu of the same brand and wattage? Only one bump up from the 460 to another 400 series? Why not just buy another 2x2gb instead of replacing them (unless your keeping the old ones)? And the regular HAF is imo better than the black edition because of the side 230mm fan.

I dunno. Just my two cents.

The PSU will be modular, so it will make my build look more tidy. I just wanted a modular PSU, and Corsair is already one of the best manufacturers of PSUs, and I don't need anymore than a 750, and 650 would be cutting it close at full load.

I also don't play games that are really graphic intense, and I did the 460 to 470 upgrade with a profit, so I think that's good.

I decided to go with 2x4GB instead of another 2x2 kit because it would only cost $20 more and not fill up all 4 slots and bog down the memory controller, which I heard can reduce the OC of a CPU.

I upgraded to the black edition because it has a nice black enterior to amke the build look fantastic, and I don't the side fan when I go to WC.

Hope that makes sense to you. It seems redundant on paper, but I thought this out well.

I only had a budget of like $700 to upgrade including the WC (GPU + CPU loop). And I really did want to go WC this time, for the fun, and added joy of building a new water rig....oh and lower temps too.
