Fujitsu P-series Lifebook

Not sure what OS to put on this thing.... It's got some weird-butt CPU I've never heard of at 933Mhz, 256mb of ram and a 30gb harddrive. It was free, it's ultra light, and has good battery life so I want to make good use of it

It has XP Pro SP3 on it and it's laggy even with services killed.

I tried Windows For Legacy PCs and it will install, but looks up when I try to boot it.

Sure that'll run on it?

It should. I imagine the weird-butt CPU you mentioned is a Transmeta Crusoe. Roughly comparable to P3 of similar clock. My GF had one of those laptops for a while...

Those things certainly last forever. My girlfriend gave hers to my little sister, it's 8 years old and still works great.

I can't get it to install. Just freezes at the "Ubuntu 10.10" screen.
