Anticipation rising for Dirt 3 and Grid 2

Thread Starter
I dont know about you guys but Dirt 2 was one of the FUNNEST racing games ive ever played... It struck the line between arcade and simulator racing perfectly The visuals were fantastic and I can always go back to it for hours of good racing.

Grid was also an exceptionally fun game as well, it had a nice balance between arcade and simulator racer, it was older so the graphics werent grade A, but for the time it was quite awesome.

Both Dirt 3 and Grid 2 are scheduled to come out in 2011 and they are both HEAVILY supporting dx11 from what ive read... So I cant wait to see what they can do with their next gen or racing games.

Codemasters! keep it up, you might not be the best at shooting games, but you sure as hell make fun racing games.

"It struck the line between arcade and simulator racing perfectly". He didn't say it was a sim.

I agree though, GRID and DIRT have always been a nice mix between serious racing and something you can pickup and play. I'm really looking forward to the new ones

Dirt 2 was a nice mix. Grid has next to no sim in it, which doesn't really make it much of a mix.

Yeah man ive heard that there gonna use full effects of DX11 and its gonna be AMAZING!!! F1 2010 was a bust at first but they also had to build it from scratch and people need to lay off Codies for it and for Codemasters i love them so much your right shooters not the best but they sure know wat the hell there doing with racing games Dirt3 buying grid 2 buying

The fact that codies dropped support for the game after 2 months is just pitiful. the patch made the game pretty much unplayable for me, and with no more patches coming i just said screw it.

Works great for me never once had one issue from launch but ive got luck (Black Ops,Breach,BFBC2) no problems at all idk why but im cool with it and i hope your gonna give F1 2011 a chance since they dont have to build from scratch this time and it will be less buggy if at all thats what they said

I hope so but other EGO engine games weren't as buggy as f1 2010, grid and dirt 2 ran great for me, although they didn't seem to use the same version that dirt 2 used as they had to patch in dx11. I hope EGO 2.0 isn't a mess though as dirt 3 is premiering on it.

I just hope they do a good job with it like they did with Dirt 2, so people with HD5850 cards and above can play it on highest settings.

I honestly don't want to upgrade my HD6970 or add a 2nd card yet, I hope one is enough for Dirt 3 as I am really looking forward for it, as well as F1 2011.
