Is there much of a difference between the two chipsets? What are the advantages? And thanks for the RAM link
The difference is mainly in OCing capacity and the 880g also sports a vrm heatsink, which is very important.
880g also has an onboard video chip that 870g doesnt have. I feel that its is something everyone should have in case of troubleshooting/emergency purposes. But if you feel that you wont be needing that, and you wont OC much.... then by all means go for the 870g model. Its even cheaper, so with some extra cash, you can pick up an aftermarket heatsink.
