Nexus 120mm Silent Fan Blue LED good enough as a intake and exhaust fan?

Thread Starter

hi guys,

ive bought a CM 690 II Advanced Window Edition. But now i need some optional fans. I want 1 rear, 2 top, 1 window side.
Ive found the Nexus 120mm Silent Fan Blue LED. its damn cheap , looks good, and its quite! It cost about $8. Cheapest in my country .

Are these fans decent enough for intake and exhaust fan?

The Nexus line of fans is pretty spiffy and more than suitable as intake/exhaust fans.

However, if you mount them horizontally they might not perform as well or last as long due to the sleeve bearing they employ.

I'd recommend the AP-13 or AP-14 models of the Scythe Gentle Typhoon series for your top fan slots. Quiet, durable, and can stand any mounting position.
