Gainward Phantom GTX570

Thread Starter
I need a new graphics card, specifically a GTX570.

I looked at Gainward Phantom one, it looks fantastic.

I just have a question about the company itself, are they good?
Are their cards good? Like do they use good quality components on their card?
EDIT: Would it fall apart after 12 hours of folding?
How is the customer service?
Which one would you prefer?
Regular evga gtx 570 or gainward gtx 570 phantom edition if they have similar prices?(evga regular is £5 lower than phantom btw)

Thanks for any input.

Card isn't bad, Gainward offer a 2 year warranty afaik, and Gainward is just a posher version of Palit (They are pretty much the same company). For only a little more you get a very good custom card, go for it. I've never heard much about Palit/GW customer support but their cards are generally good (ive had a few GW cards).

I've owned two Palit cards (also an XpertVision, who they also own), Palit own Gainward, and for the most part their card's are pretty much the same, with the exception of shrouds and in this case, the heatsink.

Palit have a lesser warranty than Gainward, as far as customer service, any enquiry I've had has been replied to within 24hrs. Dunno about the hassles of RMA however, just technical enquiries they were quick to respond.

I'm very skeptical about purchasing another Palit/Gainward personally, especially since hearing about the 460's fan blades snapping, I feel the board components aren't of particular quality (not suprising given their cards are generally cheaper than the rest- exception of random 2GB models), and don't overclock terribly well all-round, compared to other brands.

This is just my opinion though.

They're a big company though, and quite well known. If you're after a card that you don't care too much about pushing far, that gets the job done for a decent price, then they're the way to go.
