That should be how you know if you have that problem, is by looking at whether or not your Talent is damaged. Unless you were playing it safe and smart, and not using that Talent until you knew you if you had the problem or not. I'd use one of your older mouse pads for an hour or so, gaming of course to get the most movement on the pad in, and see if that gets scratched. Also, check out the bottom of the mouse in the back and look for signs of the material rubbing off.

Well, on the plus side of this whole thing, the Talent works awesome with the 3.0 I purchased after the Valor failed to impress me.

Doesn't Puretrak force you to return the "FREE" Talent with the Valor? Or did you decide to hang onto your Valor?

Puretrak, how were none of these issues not noticed and fixed before being shipped? I thought every mice was individually tested at the Chicago Office BEFORE it was sent out? All of these issues seem very obvious, and should of been a no brainer when testing these mices.

Posting this here because Puretrak seems to delete my post every time I post it onto their facebook fan page...

I dont really believe that there was an actual QC testing outside the factory where it was manufactured.

Has anyone actually noticed that its really hard to click the LMB and RMB on the Valor, I mean both of my buttons require equal force to press but its pretty hard/stiff as compared to Logitech and Razer mices.

Your posts are being removed because we have already explained the issues which some users are experiencing with their Valors. We are addressing the small number of users who have these issues and they will be assisted on an individual basis. The 500dpi (and possible 2000dpi) steps are already being investigated in which a firmware update will be provided once resolved. All other steps, including the 1000dpi step, seems to be working 100% correctly.

To prevent clouded judgement from users who have not yet received their Valor, we ask that posts such as yours be directed strictly towards our staff rather than on our Facebook which is not a direct form of support.

Also, if you have not yet received your Valor... please do not assume that these issues you are hearing from a small group of users is correct and will automatically carry on to your specific order. If you have received your Valor and can confirm you have these issues... again, please contact our staff directly and we will be happy to assist you. The best way to contact us is via: http://puretrak.com/contact/

Thank you for your understand. Please feel free to contact us at anytime. Thanks!

Enotus mouse test. Just extract the executable first so it doesn't show up as a virus.

Nick, you sure these didn't just ship with the wrong firmware? First two dpi settings definitely aren't anywhere near where they're supposed to be.

Enotus mouse test isnt accurate enough. You will get different dpi results depending on how fast/slow you move the mouse

On another note I find it strange that the "small group" of users that are experiencing problems, all are from here at OCN. Especially since, before recieving the valor everyone couldn't praise puretrak enough and the talent have been one of the most recommended here in the mouse forum

"Hello again everyone,

Orders are still being processed as we speak. As stated before, we test each and every Valor before leaving our office. This takes a little bit of additional time but ensures piece of mind to the end customer knowing they will not receive a DOA unit. Our entire staff has been working through last week and in to this week to ensure we process everything as quickly as possible with our quality standards in place." - Purenick

So the way I understand it, yes they were tested PRIOR to being shipped. Even if they were to say test to see if was moving on the screen, they should of still noticed the dpi issue, and also the wobble issue at the least.
