Puretrak Valor Information Thread - Page 126

So I did an accel test on the Valor and noticed absolutely massive negative acceleration on the 500 DPI step. I don't game on that low of sensitivity though, so it doesn't bug me. But it did feel like 500 DPI to me, it didn't feel any faster. My 1000 DPI and 2000 DPI steps feel almost the same so I think my 1000 DPI step is messed up and is actually maybe 1800 DPI like some people say it its. 3500 DPI feels like 3500 DPI to me, crazy and needlessly fast. I'll be using either the 1000 DPI or 2000 DPI steps for sure though. I tested the 1000 DPI step for acceleration and noticed almost absolutely none, it was almost spot on every time. Haven't done 2000 DPI or 3500 DPI accel test and in all honesty, don't feel like it. Gonna get my game on with some Medal of Honor.

Mine arrived today. Just plugged it in. When I lift the mouse, the cursor keeps moving. Is this for real? Low LOD my ass, I think they send me a broken model. Great work Nick. All the way to GER for THIS.

I can literally lift the mouse about 7cm and the cursor still moves! I can turn the sensor to the ceiling and it's still moving. Are you ******* kidding me?

Direct Mouse Input tells me my Valor runs @ 500hz too. I thought it was supposed to run @ 1000hz. This would be hilarious if it wouldn't dawn on me that I was ripped off. Seriously. I've been giving PT more good faith than most of us here. And now THIS.

Update:

It gets better and better. Just fired up QL for 1min. Exactly one minute. I can't use this.

- 500 DPI has massive accel (feels like 2000)
- 1000 DPI is too fast too
- this POS SKIPS when doing just medicore fast movements and it does it ALL the time on ALL DPI settings

Jesus. I can just hope that mine got flashed with a pre-alphas firmware or something. It's THAT bad.

In ending: Plz note that I, who has been believing that PT did their best till today, feels like he got fooled. This is unacceptable. This will be the first time IN MY LIFE that I will return a mouse I bought. Because what I got was a joke.

@ Puretrak: If something like this can pass your so called QC then... idk...you should fire all of them. Every ******* one of them.

Good lord, I'm pissed.

The lift-off-distance is only 3 cds for me which is about 3.6mm.

That's pretty hilarious though if it seriously tracks off your ceiling

Does anyone else have a scale at home to confirm the weight? I might be interested in buying one after Puretrak fixes all the problems.

I saw delco's post but I honestly don't trust it.

No the Valor is the only mouse attached. Or was attached. I've never had an issue with getting the hz to run which a mouse was supposed to run at with

Razer DA
CM Storm
any Logitech mouse
Xai
Kinzu
etc. etc. etc.

No no no no no. To be honest I'm almost laughing. Laughing at how something as botched as my Valor could pass quality control. It's unbelievable. And borderline intentional to release this. If there was any QC this specific mouse would have been caught. It must have. But they didn't. Haha, Puretrak. What an epic fail, really.

The shell has some issues.

For one, the red light from the sensor leaks through some of the cracks on the shell. It's not entirely obvious though unless you look for it specifically.

Secondly there was a bunch of manufacturing burs that i had to remove.

Like others have said, where the top shell meets the bottom of the mouse there's a pronounced lip that drags on the mousepad. It actually discolored my entire QcK+ by rubbing on it. You could probably sand this down to fix it.

Just like in the review video posted above, the left and right mouse buttons aren't even at the front. Only a visual flaw though, doesn't seem to effect anything. The plastic cover from the mouse wheel also has a pronounced gap where it meets the very front of the mouse.

In the video review above, you can see that the side rubber grips are peeling off already. That's no the case on mine though.
