I think you're right, I haven't measured but it just feels a little off somehow.

Could it be hitting the casing or some internal part somehow? Both the buttons on mine take the exact same pressure. Doesn't seem like it would be a defective switch either since it always seems to be the right button that people have problems with.

Agreed for sure, why they set it up like that is a mystery.

Anyway fair review, you nailed it.

I can barely even press my right mouse button down. So at the very least puretrak should fix this problem on their end and then provide a free exchange for the people that preordered the defective ones.

That issue and a solid firmware fix is all it would take to make this mouse better than a deathadder at least (but still worse than a mx518 ).
A few people said that the reason the right click is harder to press is because the button is rubbing against another piece of the mouse (probably the rubber coating). If you don't mind ruining your warranty you might be able to locate the area and remove some material. I believe someone also mentioned that using the mouse over time has the same effect as it chews away at whatever is rubbing.

EDIT: Here is an example.

I unboxed it one last time to take a look, and sure enough, the middle piece of plastic (the part holding the scroll wheel and dpi button) is not flush in the front. Not only that, but attempting to make it flush with the rest of the mouse by pressing down on the part renders the right mouse button useless - I had to pull up the button very slightly in order to make contact with the switch again, which also made the middle piece crooked again in the process.

And yeah, my refused valor is sitting at the USPS after a failed delivery attempt too. Bring a truck!

Hello,

As fun as it may seem to assume we're out to cause you hassle and steal your money, we're not.

If returning your order with USPS, the address you are sending to is a P.O. Box which is delivered to our office MON-FRI, once a day, with the regular mail. If it arrived today according to your tracking, our office will not technically receive the package until Monday when it is delivered.

No worries. We will receive your package and process your refund within 7-10 days time. This estimate is taking in to consideration the time it usually takes major credit cards to reflect a refund.

Hope this helps, thanks!

If they fix the rmb problem, I'm going to take an exchange for when(if?) they fix the acceleration issues via firmware. The shell just feels too good.

Hello,

Your order is still set to dispatch tonight. It is still only 7:35pm and the cutoff for your selected shipping service is 10:00pm.

Thank you for your patience.

My order has been dispatched via Fedex 2 days ago. Thanks to Nick for that.
But it seems like my parcel is still stuck in your office guys.
It hasn't been handed over to Fedex carrier yet?
Can you guys let me know when Fedex deliveries will be collected from your office?
