Puretrak Valor Information Thread - Page 138

You can't get anything to make the Valor work properly atm. At this point in time, it's broken. A failure. Until Puretrak comes around and fixes all with a firmware update.

Disappointing, was looking forward to this mouse.

Oh well~ seems straying from Logitech for mice is a bad idea. I've had my MX510 since 2005~ and have been looking at mice in case this one dies on me in the future, but it doesn't seem like it wants to.

Logitech is bulletproof.

Damn shame this mouse didn't do too well~ it had potential.

Depends on what you're looking for. In my eyes Logitech just re-entered the picture with the G400. All the other (laser) mice the put out in recent years had some more or less serious flaws. The G400 is a good step in the right direction.

lol.... wasnt yours damaged by shipping and isn't working at all?

neway, its not a failure. there are quite a few of us who love the valor. shape, rubber coating, switches, and the sensor (at 1000dpi) are really superb. most here are the few that had problems probably from the first batch which nick has already addressed and said was corrected in future products.

if you need 500dpi and can't deal with the accel, wait for the firmware update. they said they're workin' on it, just be patient. other than that, it feels damn good in my hand

Sure mine was damaged. There are alot here on this forum alone however who complain about pos. or neg. accel and not only on 500 CPI.
I'd like a working one too, but PT is so slow with RMA it's.....just plain ugly.

U do know that 1000 dpi on the valor is really closer to 1800 right?

Well, I picked up a MX518 - at least I know my Talent is OK. The MX518 glides beautifully on it. One of these mice is going to end up on the spare rig. We'll see which when I get my replacement Valor.

The holiday weekend is interfering with getting it shipped. I added some bubble wrap so Puretrak can see what it is.

I wouldn't say that sense im not a casual gamer and pretty much a full time gamer and care how my mouse performs which why i have a whole box of mouses because i cant find the one i like lol But so far the valor is great for me, Mine doesn't have any problems except for the firmware problems like everyone else s have.

But ya it would be alot better if they would release the firmware update.

Right now i use mine at 500hz on the 1000dpi setting and yes i know it feels around 1600 dpi but got used too it and the 500hz made it more stable.

Other than that it works good.

Puretrak should also update us more often too so far haven't seen a update for awhile now

Yeah, they are working sooo hard on it they cant update us or tell us if they are acutally working on a new firmware, i dont remember if he still thought it was a small percentage(hardware) of mice (which we all know is not the case) affected and if he was convinced it was an actual software/firmware issue.
