Anyone who has returned the valor, did you send the talent pad back with it ? Would be so much easier to just send a small box w/ the mouse.

Or did mine just came with a bad rubber coating job?
OMG. This looks bad.
That rubber coating looks like its been through about 5 years of abuse but its actually only been about a month.

Id say its because he might have a specific acid in his hands that nomnomed his valor but he said he has an older mouse with a rubber coating that still looks new. How can this be an isolated case though? I assume they used the same coating on all of the valors.

Isolated for sure as we have several thousand Valor's currently in the hands of gamers and this is the first report of something like this. I spoke with my engineer while showing him the photos and he thinks that this specific shell was not cured properly when being passed through the UV/Dry heat tunnel during the shell's painting/production process.

Derp: Correct, all Valors are coated using the same coating method and material.

Gordesky: Check your PM. I required some information from you to get your RMA process started. Thanks!

Pmed you with the info

UV/Dry heat tunnel ya that make sense if it wasn't cured properly.

Tho is it normal for it too do it overnight pretty much like 6hours later? Like i was playing a game before i went too sleep and it was fine nothing was wrong but than when i woke up that's when i felt the problem and i look at the mouse which i thought it had something on it and find out all the rubber is bubbling and peeling

Pretty sure if it was the acid in my hands which im sure i have it alot of it sense things like plastic stuff usely turns shiny on me fast than normally, I pretty sure all my mouses i used before this would do the same thing Like the mamba i used that fully over a year, and i also have tons of other cheap mouses that doesn't show no signs of wear. And the diamond back plasma ed which i used at home and on the go for like 3years and still looks like new.

Really hope mine is the ony one that does this which so far it is sense i haven't herd anyone having this issue.

Hello,

This question has been answered several times here on OCN as well as our facebook and even through emails/messages you have personally sent to us asking the same question.

As stated before, when we have an update in regards to the firmware, we will post it. Our engineers are working on the DPI settings and there is no ETA as of yet. Due to the complicated research and development behind firmware, including this matter, we want to ensure we conduct as much testing needed to provide the best end result.

While we will not be providing daily or even weekly "updates", rest assured this is a daily project for us that has our full attention and involvement. We are dealing with a very new sensor that is proven to be a bit more picky than we expected.

Nick, can you confirm if the rmb taking more force to depress than the lmb has been fixed for Valors currently being manufactured? It seems like the issue varied from mouse to mouse since some, such as myself, definitely noticed a difference whereas others did not.

Hello,

Yes it has though this issue was so rare that we had a hard time finding a Valor within our remaining inventory to locate the problem for correction. However, we did find what would cause this issue, adjusted the tooling and construction method, and can now confirm that this issue has been corrected.

The matter was that the right mouse button was touching the right part of the shell slightly creating a bit of resistance. This would, after a bit of use, eventually "wear" (for lack of a better word) away... giving the right mouse button the same even click as the left. Again, this has been adjusted to all Valors regardless of if this issue was found or not.

Cool, I will definitely be ordering a new Valor once the firmware is released.
