Glad you guys are getting your QC stuff sorted out, this will be a decent mouse once you get your firmware fixed.

So I guess the valor truly is a half baked product!

Just joking, not bashing I swear.

As stated before, when we have an update in regards to the firmware, we will post it. Our engineers are working on the DPI settings and there is no ETA as of yet. Due to the complicated research and development behind firmware, including this matter, we want to ensure we conduct as much testing needed to provide the best end result.

While we will not be providing daily or even weekly "updates", rest assured this is a daily project for us that has our full attention and involvement. We are dealing with a very new sensor that is proven to be a bit more picky than we expected.

We'll at least that qualify's as a "we are aware there is a problem" instead of silence. For a company so close to FPS gaming, I would have thought something like their DPI settings being completely wrong would be a priority, considering how finicky CS players are about their sensitivity/mouse.

They've been aware of the dpi issue and have mentioned it before. It's just a "still working on it. Still trying to fix it" response is a bit pointless as that's about all they can really say about it.

Nah, the only thing they acknowledged before was the accel issues at the 500dpi & max dpi settings. Never really made a clear response on their DPI tables being completely wack. This latest comment from nick is actually clear.

Interesting, I had this same mouse a couple years ago except it had a different name and was a bit tackier

Not a bad mouse. Back then it was a rebrand of the OCZ Dominatrix, so I guess this is a rebrand of a rebrand?

Pretty sure that mouse doesn't have the same sensor the valor has. And it also has Onboard memory for saving profiles and 4-way tilt scroll wheel which the valor doesn't have, But ya pretty much the same shape, But im sure it doesn't have the same nice coating on it sense its the best i ever felt in a mouse even tho mine had a problem with it blubbing but that seems too be ony my mouse so far hopefully.

Will know when i get mine in a few days which nick was nice too do a advance rma which they send one first and i have 7days too send the old one back or i get charged 59$ Now why don't other company's do that instead of making you send it back first and wait? Also got a tracking number already too and its been shipped already

Edit Yep doesn't have the same sensor which the ocz uses lazer and not optical like the valor uses.

Yeah, the mouse was pretty damn decent for the money and lasted me 2 years before the finish started pealing off and the left click button lost its clickiness. I never really used all that onboard macro crap and the software was kinda poo. If nothing else it's certainly a hell of a lot less tacky then the one I owned.

Puretrak finally found the emails I was shooting to them about my refund, and actually ended up refunding me not only for the valor, but for the talent I purchased separately as well. I am once again a happy puretrak customer.

There may have been mixups, but I've never had a company go outside the boundaries of just making it right. Thumbs up to Puretrak customer support. Hopefully, once more people come out of the woodwork saying they no longer have the issues reported here, that refund will be spent buying another valor.

Nope. That's not the same mouse shape wise.

CyberSnipa is owned by CyberSport. An OEM that makes mice for many different manufacturers (Gigabyte, MSI, OCZ, Oklick, Speedlink etc)

Cybersport has several moulds that look very close to that. This is the medium size mould. The valor is based on a large size mould, thats larger and wider.

That is that mould that Puretrak are using.
Also Puretrak chose the Avago 3090 sensor over the laser Avago 9500 that's used in almost all of CyberSport mice nowadays.

Swiches are quality omron switches that should last for several years.
