Meh, it's all personal preference imo. It's clear seeing as you said "preorder" that you got one of the first batches of Valor's which had the build quality issues. We all know that and puretrak came out right away and said they were aware of the issue. No big deal as long as they handle it correctly. I was one of them who pre ordered and received a bad one. Contacted puretrak, received a pre-paid return label, sent mine back and received a new one 2 days later with all of the issues gone.

and I doubt puretrak considers it a failure either... 10-15 on here probably do but meh. Here's something to think abouut: after a year it's still $59.99 which leads me to believe they're not struggling on sales. They have a bundle with Sennheiser that i've seen around including at Best Buy. And on a personal side, I've been to several LAN events including one last month and have seen many people using the valor including a semi-pro/pro korean SC2 player that took home a 3k 2nd place prize using it.

but again, all personal preference. I still use my Valor without a single issue and have since been through a ZOWIE AM (switch on MOUSE1 failed after literally 2 weeks) and a CM Spawn (sensor flickered on and off and then failed after 3 months). I still have my DA though which still works after 4 long CS/WoW years =).

I <3 the Valor especially after getting used to it's grip style which is like a cross between a claw and a palm grip. The click response from the switches they use is probably one of the best I've ever felt.

had my valor for over a year now. works just like day one and i never had any off the build issues people said on here but it's obvious they were from the first batch. the only issue is the 500dpi setting which feels like 700ish. 1000 is perfect for me which i use and would of used anyway. i play CS, COD, LoL, and SC2 avidly.

the 3090 was hyped too much imo... it's still a damn GOOD sensor but people expected absolute perfection when technically there is no such thing because "perfection" differs from person to person.

btw delco, do you know where the sennheiser/puretrak bundle is still being sold? i had a clan mate buy one for himself and his brother but can't find it anymore.

using it in mom's laptop from time to time, nice mouse if you use it in the 1800dpi step, everything else give negative accelration very easy.
The build quality is nice and the metrials/plastic-spary's rubber-coat is very solid for a OEM model.

LoD is too high for me and most DPI steps are not accurate for how it was marketed, all I can say is that the 1800-marketed cpi step is working quite flawless but still not solid performances (mal. speed wise)

No, it did not. Can't even sell mine. Whatever, I've learnt from this mistake.

Think it'd make a nice doner shell? The best donor shells have the buttons and sensor on different PCBs. Not a lot to lose.

you can get the mouse for $35 from puretrak (with a code) and other places now.... i was just at indiana U's gaming lan and saw 5 or so people using it. one kid was raping CS:GO and LoL with it

i just stopped using mine around 3 months when i got a new DA 3.5 as a gift. i personally never had an issue @ the 2000dpi step (which is 1800 from what a few on here say). i'm getting back in quake and cod4..... maybe i'll make a video of it in action

I just saw another review online about this mouse. Has the issues been fixed with any new firmware or does nobody care about it anymore?
