Puretrak Valor Information Thread - Page 27

Mouse acceleration is nearly non-existent and 99% of users won't feel or see anything. We noticed VERY SLIGHT acceleration but it was so small that we didn't bother reworking the code to remove it completely... unsure if we even could since it was that small.
what is suppost to be Nick?
you know that the "VERY SLIGHT" positive accel on A/SDNS 9500 was the 'deal breaker' for alot of customers to buy the mice that use the sensor.

DISAPPOINTED.

The positive accel found on the standard ADNS-9500 SROM was in fact not so slight. It ended up being uncontrollable throughout it's scalable DPI settings. When you have a sensor so jammed packed with power and features, it's hard to keep it "tame" enough to fit your liking. Positive acceleration is just a natural by-product of having a high control rate in which the sensor naturally attempts to calculate and compensate for your movements be it big or small, fast or slow.

Rest assured, when I say "VERY SLIGHT" and "you most likely won't be able to feel anything" I mean it. Keep in mind I am abiding by a technical stand point only as I am here to provide as much raw information about our product as possible. To the typical expert in mice, they would say that this has zero positive acceleration based on feel which is what really counts in the end.

As much as I would like to sit here and say that every Valor mouse comes with a little troll inside that fine tunes your movement every 100th of a second, I don't. I think it's only fair to give everyone the insight on how real world applications in mice work and what it takes to "perfect" their movement.

I use a mouse with the same sensor and I definately can't feel any acceleration... it must be below 1% on a hardpad

I think I'll wait for the reviews before picking it up.

Its a shame that you can't stack the codes from the 15% survey and the 10% preorder. With 15% off It comes out to $64 shipped for me, I haven't had to pay tax and shipping for a long time because of amazon.

Waiting unfortunately, no real reason to order now if the price will be the same anyways.

Nick, I know this should probably be sent to Puretrak support but since this is your first mouse how is your return system going to be handled? For an example, I ordered quite a few mice from amazon to try out, most turned out to be crappy products and amazon always accepted the return for a full refund as long as I payed the $5 return shipping. If for some reason I dislike the Valor and decide to wait for your claw grip mouse will your policy be "you opened it so you bought it"?

Hopefully you, Derp, or Skylit do a review of it. The whole acceleration deal makes me a little iffy. Would much rather read your honest reviews of the mouse rather than ESEAs

NICK please anwser this question. What retailer will be selling the valor in the uk? i am not ordering direct as it will be too much and i may not like the mouse. So a return in the uk would be easier.

I am a palm and claw hybrid. Would this mouse suit me?

We offer a return program very similar to the one you're speaking of from amazon for our current products. Within 14 days of receiving your item, you are able to return your purchase for a full refund minus the shipping returned shipping costs (typically no more than $6.00USD for US based returns) providing the product(s) in question are in the same condition in which you received them. You will simply contact our support department and they will further guide you in the returning process.
