Oh noes they added 50 more dpi, this mouse is suxors..
Wanna know something funny?
-The Avago S3888 and S3668 at 450 DPI track similarly in distance to the OS MLT 04 @ 400 DPI.
Due to that, a ton of people started spreading rumors saying that the newer 3.0's are 450 DPI. I've tested this theory with multiple 3.0's, 1.1's, and a couple WMO's that date back to 2003. They all track the same, Period.
-The Kinzu's Sensor @ 400 DPI required a much lower sensitivity than the 3.0/1.1 even without trying to provoke the acceleration the mouse is prone to.
-The Avago ADNS-3060 (Zowie EC2/EC1 Sensor) @ 400 DPI + 2.25 sens should theoretically track the same distance as the S3888 at 450 DPI and 2 sens, but they don't.
-Same thing goes for the ADNS-9500/PTE and other mice.
Reason? I've come to the conclusion that all sensors are not created equal, and yes before you say anything to try to debunk this, I actually tracked to the point the sensor cut out over my pads and not the individual shape of the mouse.Edited by Skylit - 2/12/11 at 4:25pm
