You're not only biased, you're crazy. You can't rate the G9 a five and the rate the G9x a seven.

Concerning CT007 review, its very obvious that he only like the shape of the mx518. I despise the shape of the mx518, yet I don't go around calling it a bad mouse
yeh what a bias review it was a review pretty much of how close the valor is to the mx518 lol

what were you thinking

side note the mousepad is amazing

it rolled out without the normal curve that has to be undone over time/with books on top of it

and the feel of the mouse is fine

again the grinding of the back of the mouse is terrible and the mouse feed are not really secure on my mouse

the side buttons are too far away to hit without losing grip on the mouse for a second and thats bad

the weight system wouldnt suck if it wasnt on the back end of the mouse only
leaving uneven weight distribution with the weights in

havent got a chance to test it yet because my mobo is in an RMA

There is a reason why "hybrid" shapes don't work as well as the common/proven shapes(palm, claw, fingertip). It's all or nothing, as I see it; straying from these 3 shape/form factors doesn't work. Perhaps if you have a HUGE thumb and small hands, the Valor will fit you nicely.

For palm grips(as Puretrak advertises the Valor to be), the flatter the mouse buttons are, the less comfortable it will be. The more rounded the buttons are, the more comfortable. Imagine holding a ball. The shape of the MX518 is practically an oblong semi-sphere, leading to the best hand-shaping/gripping of all mice out there. If you're a fingertipper, then you don't want the ball shape, nor the Valor's hybrid shape. I believe it is correct to remove points from this mouse's review score due to the lack of ergonomics, for one.

Someone should start a poll: how comfortable is the Valor?
I would rate:
MX518 = 9.5/10
Abyssus = 9/10
DA = 8/10
Xai = 6/10
Kone[+] = 7/10
G9 = 5/10
G9x = 7/10
IME = 8/10
Valor = 3.5/10

So what if I'm biased/"biased" Tons of people love the MX518 shape too, and for good reason! No need to risk going with some hybrid shape nobody has tried before...
you do know the g9 is a better mouse then the g9x in terms of mouse accel and prediction

if you dont mind the weight of the laser causing the weight to be slightly focused on just that point of the mouse then its one of the best fingertip mice

the kone? again terrible sensor and its not very comfortable

the valor is a PALM grip mouse and even tho i dont like it its a decent palm grip design and the button click strength required is good so far

"who cares im bias" dont post your views if your bias isnt that what bias is? an unfair view on what your talking about...

His scores were just based for comfort, not the overall mouse.

The best shape and grip for all mice? Really? I would almost rather use touchpad to game with than to cramp up using a mx518

Where do I begin? You rate the abyssus 9/10 for comfort. You are the first person I know that find the abyssus comfortable as a palm grip mouse

And then you rate the g9x higher in comfort than the g9 even they are the exact same shape.

To top it of you think every mouse should be shaped like the mx518

There might be tons of people who like the mx518 but theres tons of people who hate it too. You shouldn't rate a mouse on YOUR hand preference, you should rate it on build quality, sensor quality and performance

i went over both sensor and grip btw

but yeh he discussed mouse feel and tbh sensors more important then feel

i would sooner modify a mouse to fit in a better feeling shape and not use side buttons then deal with a bad sensor for the sake of mouse shape

I mean his scores were completely based on comfort in that chart. That's why he said above the scores: "How Comfortable is the Valor?" And then scored it on a scale of 1-10 with other mice in the chart to show that he thinks its much more uncomfortable than those mice.

I went ahead and requested a return. I'll probably purchase it again later this summer if the accel issue I had is gone.

While we're on the topic of shape, I really wish someone would come out and make a great mouse in the shape of the Ikari. the 5K is good, but it's not quite what I want in that regard. Someone do this. Now.

I love the shape of the Valor. If firmware fixes the accel issues, and people can ghetto-fix their bottoms with razerblades/sandpaper, that still leaves the uneven pressure needed to click the lmb/rmb. That's what's really killing it for me atm, it's very noticeable.
