Just got my mouse and before doing my impressions, i have to ask... how do you get the mousefeet not to scratch the mousepad, with sandpaper and a razerblade, can someone explain to me slowly.
Ok, impressions.(after 2 hours use)
-I definitely like the shape of the mouse, it's more of a hybrid shape with lots of inward curves rather than outward curves found on most ergonomic mice(IME 3.0, DA).
-It definitely feels lighter than my DA and my Xai but it's a mouse that you'd expect to be heavier than what it actually is because of the look of it, for that reason, it makes the build quality feel cheap and also gives the impression that the entire inside of the mouse is just hollow space... However, while gaming, this definitely was not a concern since I'm so focused on the game and I'm grateful that the Valor feels this light. After all, the 1.1 is really light and cheap feeling but it's an incredible mouse!!!
-I get a really great grip on the mouse, the mouse is definitely really "gripable" and that translates to more controllable behavior while gaming, some mice that have "nongrippy" designs tend to fail you when you do a really quick swipe, but this thing holds well.
-The clicking all feels good except that the RMB is definitely a little harder to click than the LMB, and that nags me allot but it doesn't really piss me off that much when I game.
-The sidebuttons have some of the greatest tactile feedbacks ever, i love the "clickyness of them", however, they are situated wayyyy too high up and the mere act of reaching there makes you lose COMPLETE control over your mouse. So in this case, the cons far outweigh the pros, after all, a good feedback won't make you play any better, but moving your thumb up to click the sidebuttons might get you killed
-I have no problems at all with the weight system, it's easy to remove and put on for me and the overall weight of the mouse feels centered, however, I prefer it when the weight of the mouse is spread out proportionally throughout the mouse... not all centered in the middle.
-The sensor seems to track well 1000 DPI(havn't tried the others yet) but @ 500 DPI i do get lots of negative acceleration and that pisses the **** out of me considering I only play @ 400-500DPI.
-The malfunction speed and maximum perfect control speed seem to be really high on this mouse @ 1000DPI since I still havn't been able to make the mouse freak out at that DPI.
-Another issue is that when the mouse is at 500 DPI, I swear it feels exactly like my DA @ 800 DPI and when the mouse is @ 1000, it feels like 1800+. So I'm not just forced to play @ 1000 DPI, but 1000DPI that feels like 2000.... great
-Last issue and probably the worst for me right now is the mouse scratching my mousepad, I'm using my QCK heavy right now cause I'm afraid it'll scratch my brand new talent. Nick said you needed to put a second mouse feet or something to stop the wobbling, however I don't get any NOTICABLE wobble on my softpad(I do on my flat table, but very very very very little). I just want to get rid of this scratching, it's slowing the mouse down and it's ruining my mousepads
. So please, teach me(slowly) how to remove this issue.
Overall, I'm still indecisive whether I like this mouse or not, if i can fix the mousefeet issue, which I assume I can, and if Puretrak can fix the horrible DPI/negative accel issue, then there's really nothing i wouldn't like about this mouse(besides the positionning of the sidebuttons ;p)
