Before You install WC Questions - XPSC Rasa Kit - Page 2

Top tip: When flushing the radiator wrap it in a towel or use oven gloves. They get very hot with boiling water in them.

Boiling tap water will be fine, distilled might be better, either way you are rinsing with distilled afterwards so there will be few impurities left. Personally I just use boiling tap water and vinegar followed by rinsing with cold tap water, then a few more rinses with distilled; distilled water is expensive / hard to get in the UK. Up to you, it really wont make a massive difference.

As far as the block orientation goes, it will not matter. The base is a cross hatch design (see below), so the orientation of the flow doesn't change the performance. With blocks like the EK Supreme HF (micro channel base design) testing has found that they perform better with the channels horizontal.

There is no need for clamps / zip ties with the Rasa kit. It comes with 1/2" barbs and 7/16" tubing, that will form a tight enough seal by itself. In fact it can sometimes be hard to get the tubing on in the first place.

To help getting the tubing over the barbs, warm the end of the tube up with a hair dryer or by putting it in some hot water (you can use hot distilled if you are a perfectionist, no need though).

As stated before, the 1155 mounting is the same as the 1156.

Go to home depot, get a fitting adapter from the faucet to the size of your fitting, should be readily available and cheap. Hook a hose from faucet to your radiator/or whatever block. Run hot water thru it for a few minutes. Water pressure from the faucet is usually at least 70psi, should flush everything out nice and good.
