New case...higher temps? ***!!!

Thread Starter
I just changed out my old Thermaltake case with a Cooler Master HAF-X. I was sick of a 3x120mm radiator being on the back of my case so I opted to get the case only a mother could love. It's fugly, but suppose to be High Air Flow. Anyways, I mounted and leak tested yesterday, everything was great. I start testing and my temps have gone up a number of degrees under load and I wasn't sure exactly what was acceptable. I am a bit confused, there are conflicting temperatures, I am not really sure what the MAX temps for CPU are and what the MAX temps are for the CORES...especially when there are so many different readings (especially under 100% load).

Any thoughts? What temps should I be reading for max, the core or CPU? Which program is the most accurate? I have read +10 degrees for most programs, which of course further worries me.

Better pics for the temps @

This question has been popping up like crazy. Look at the CPU Temp for the 62C (preferably 50C). Watch the core temps, they mean something but your ultimate guide should be the CPU Temp.

If everything looks whacky, flash the BIOS and update to the latest HWMonitor to make sure everything's updating and interacting correctly.
