SLI with three displays

Thread Starter
Does SLI support more than two displays? I'm trying to run two monitors on the first GTX 460 and then my HDTV on the second one through mini-HDMI. when i try to do this it messes up all three displays and requires a hard reboot. I'm using the SLI hack on my motherboard and thinking it might not support three displays while using the hack.

Even if you had an SLI supported motherboard it wouldn't support it. Dual monitor setup with SLI is still fairly new. Hasn't been that long that they actually released support for it.

You would need a separate video card not in SLI.

Not true. I'm in SLI with 3 monitors, as we speak.

I had a feeling SLI hack might of been the problem. Guess it's time for a complete upgrade.

thanks for the help guys.

EDIT: do you guys think a E8400 @ 4Ghz would bottleneck GTX 460 SLI at stock settings? I'm getting poor FPS in BC2 and Metro 2033..
