PC works flawlessly in Vista so not going to be the overclock or mem timings; mem is at stock clock and timings, vcore is at stock, overclock is a mild one on CPU only.

Thanks anyways

Ok, so, I enabled AHCI on all SATA ports and found another ACPI setting (SRAT Reporting or something like that) and disabled that and so far, since Friday, no lockups/freezes

Fingers crossed!

Well, no lockups now after a week so I'm pretty sure it's fixed Thanks to earlier poster who recommended looking at ACPI features in BIOS most likely, though it was disabling the SRAT and not the ACPI 2.0 Support that seems to have done it; that or switching to AHCI for the drives.

Only time will tell but I hope anyone with the same issue will try the above

Thanks all!

Confirmed, still working great still after almost 2 weeks. Thanks all!
Yay! \\o/

p.s. almost forgot; AHCI mode on drives bumped up Vertex performance by 4 points in Whinedos Experience Index... which is noticeable when using Ableton 8.1
