Haha, my GF is somewhat of a geek like me. Rarity I tell ya. We play videogames together, snowboard together, do jiu jitsu together, mod cars together, etc. I showed her your rig and she was like WOW. So I told her I want something similar, but not exact. She loves red and she loves watching me play Metal Gear Solid 4. so my plan is to TRY and make the computer similar to the servers in the server farm in the end of MGS4. Yeah, we are sporty geeks like that. More so I than she.

Its funny you mention MGS4, as I had the MGS4 theme in my head while designing the build. I even contemplated creating a stencil of snake that would be hidden in the system with a low powered white LED glowing behind it to project his image onto the background in a fade in/out manner.

@Lith, thanks for the general idea of the fan thing. It helped a bit. I still don't know what "static pressure" is. Is "static" used in the sense of "in place" or "fixed" so to speak? Or as in static electricity. I know, I'm sounding so brand new. lol.

@anoob, how do I find out the density of the fins in the radiator models?

The density of the fins will be labeled with FPI (Fins Per Inch). Example:

XSPC is 8 FPI
http://www.jab-tech.com/XSPC-RX-480-Quad-120mm-Radiator-pr-4430.html

Black Ice GTX 480 is 20 FPI
http://www.jab-tech.com/Black-Ice-GTX-480-Radiator-pr-3614.html

You would need stronger static pressure fans and higher RPM's to push air through the Black Ice GTX 480 than you would with the XSPC because the XSPC has a lower FPI so you could run slow fans. But not all radiators are labeled with FPI so you have to find a review of the radiator and hope the reviewer tested with high/low speed fans to see if there is a difference or knows how to accurately measure the FPI. For lower FPI radiators it usually doesn't make a good overall difference in using higher RPM fans because you don't get much of a gain but add a crap load of noise to your system.

But as for fans, I wouldn't bother with fans with LED's. They're kind of gimmicky and don't provide good static pressure or noise reduction. Get some good fans and then just mod it yourself to add LED's if you really want them. I'd recommend getting some Gentle Typhoons or like many other people suggest Yate Loons from Petras because there seems to be suppliers who purposely have lower quality Yates or something. I never used Yate Loons so I can comment much on them.

*EDIT*
These are the Typhoon fans, don't confuse them with the other Typhoons that don't have the grey fan blades.

This post is the ultimate guide to finding a good radiator fan.

http://www.overclock.net/water-cooling/859483-round-6-fan-testing-working-thread.html

As you can see by the charts, the gentle typhoons kick ass when you compare airflow to noise. This test was done on a radiator.
