Water cooling

Thread Starter
I'm a average user I don't do anything real demanding but this website sold me on it by checking out the pictures and everyone having water cooling. I think it looks so sweet, but I have no experience with it and this is my second build I've put together. I'm looking for what you recommend, its solely for looks... My budget is $150 the cheaper the better.

I figured this would serve its purpose, I plan to change the tubes to red.

Here is the specs of the PC it will be running in, I don't think you will need anything else.

I dont think you will fit anything other than 120 rad in that case. Atleast not without A LOT of modding. Theres no space on top, because of the 5.25" bays and the PSU, and theres no space in the bottom because of the 3.50" bays and possibly the mobo. And also the case looks like it bad, very bad. Sure, an all acryllic case looks nice, but its so small, has no cable management options, and looks like it has very poor airflow. If you really wanna Water cool your PC, you should get another case thats more suitable for it, and also, get the XSPC Rasa kit suggested above aswell.

edit: that Thermaltake kit you linked to wont even fit on your mobo, its for socket LGA 775.

Whats the point of water cooling a i5-2400 on a H67 motherboard? You can only bump multiplier by 4 on a H67. You could easily do that with the stock fan or drop $40 on a decent quiet air cooler and still have good temps.

Another vote for the XSPC or custom parts WC, if you want red tubing and any other custom parts use the XSPC kit as a reference and order all the parts you need to build a custom kit

Rasa XSPC kit includes:
Rasa Black (Acetal) CPU Waterblock
Socket 775, 1366 and 1154 Backplates
Socket AM2 and AM3 mounting kit
X2O 750 12V Pump/Reservoir
5mm Blue LED with 4Pin Molex
RS240 Radiator
80mm to 120mm Radiator brackets
Low Noise 1700rpm 120mm Fan x2
120mm Fan Grill x2
2 Meters of Clear 7/16"ID Hose
G1/4" to 1/2" barbs x6
Thermal Paste

or just buy CLICK ME to replace the tubing with the kit.

That big water kit is junk, out of date and overpriced. get a H50/70 if you are going that route.
