2560x1600 + 1920x1200? GTX275?

Thread Starter
I'm currently running dual displays, one horizontally and one vertically, so my resolutions are 1920x1200 and 1200x1920; off of a single GTX275 (which was the latest greatest when I built this machine; I7 920 with 12 gigs ram).

I think I'm going to upgrade the horizontal display with a 2560x1600 display so I'll be running 2560x1600 + 1200x1900.

Forgive the stupid question - but can I even do this off of a single GTX275 or will the 2560x1600 display eat up all of its capabilities? (Just in general; not talking gaming performance, etc).

Secondary question: I do play games now and then (usually things like TF2, Company of Heroes, etc) but I'm not a frame rate whore. The GTX275 has been plenty nice for what I enjoy running at 1920x1080.. the only time I've seen slowdown is in ARMA2 and then I just turn the details down a bit and I'm happy.

If I decide to upgrade video cards at the same time as picking up this new 30" screen, what nvidia video card would ok for usage with the 2560x1600 + 1200x1900 desktop wise.. and decent 2560x1600 frame rates video game wise? (sorry, I'm not a fan of ATIs driver set so I prefer to stay nvidia).

Sorry for the n00b questions; I've been so busy lately I haven't had time to keep up on what's hot these days.

Cheers and thanks,
Ed

i7 920 at stock speeds and a PNY 460 1GB gave more than playable framerates for TF2 at 2560x1600 for the brief bit I had my 30" screen.

would the 460 run dual displays with one of them being 2560x1600?

Here is a pic I just snapped.. I want to keep the vertical 24" (great for websurfing) and replace the 27" with a 30.
