1055t Massive voltage fluctuations

Thread Starter
Last night i was encoding some files. Heard my cpu fan ramp up louder then normal ( soon to be replaced stock hsf). Opened hwmonitor and saw that my vcore was @ 1.44 ( vcore was set to auto) and temps were @ 62c . Shut it down set vcore to 1.325 booted and got bsod after windows launch.

Tried multiple vcore settings. 1.38 in bios ramps vcore up to 1.42 but under load drops to 1.32. Once vcore drops under 1.32 is bsod. Ive tried stock settings and its the same thing. If i oc it to 3.5 its the same thing.

It will run stable with a vcore of 1.4 or higher. Drops stay about 1.33. But it runs to hot for my comfort @ 1.4 with stock hsf.

It also just locked up a minute ago randomly. No error code or bsod.

Cpu temps never went above mid 50's before. It never ran hot. I have 5 case fans so there is a ton of air movement.

Is the chip dying? its only a month old. My psu's 12v,5v and 3.3v all read correctly and dont fluctuate. Matter of fact i just put this rig together a month ago.

Any ideas?

Ive tried 4 different bios. Been messing with this since 8 am. its 3:30 now. Its starting to drive me nuts.

I took if off and replied thermal paste.

Think it would be the mobo not the processor?

It just happened. No slow notice. Just suddenly unstable.

Figured it out. i didnt see llc way at the bottom of the ai page. Have to scroll down a bit.

was set to auto then suddenly decided to run as disabled under auto causing the sudden change in vcore. enabled and vcore adjusted for the bump llc gives and im good to go.
