It's only $10 more than reference.

I would say so, it's quiet, it cools very well, and fans turn off when idle.

IMO, EVGA's warranty sucks. Jump through some hoops and we'll give you a warranty that can't follow the card. If you don't jump through our hoops, enjoy our 1 year warranty applaud.gif Give me Asus or MSI any day of the week!

EVGA recently upgraded the warranty of all cards purchased in 2011

I'm running zotac 570 that I got from friend for real cheap with 5yr warranty.
It's working great after oc'ing.
I would also recommend evga but if you get good deal on zotac with warranty, go for it.

Here's their warranty page. I don't see any groundbreaking changes. You still have to register most of their cards and the warranty is only valid for the original owner. I see the warranty on the KR models is 3 years, but what changed on the other cards?

I'd still rather have a 3 year warranty that I can offer when selling the card to someone else. With EVGA, you'd be forced to have someone else try to RMA it for you if you can get a hold of him/her.

The ASUS one is currently on sale in one of the computer shops near my house, but I have not heard good things about it (though usually ASUS is a reliable brand).

Which one would you recommend?

if i was you buy the cheapest brand why does it matter but evga or asus would by my choice

Thread Starter
I personally don't see the point in a lifetime warranty as I'm only going to keep the card for 2 years... but it's good to know that EVGA, MSI, ASUS, Zotac and Palit are all valid options.

Unfortunately, since I live in Canada, I can't get the deal... the cheapest for me was the ASUS one (I definitely agree with you on getting the cheapest one available)... and I was wondering whether that one is as overclockable as the other ones.
