hey so my computer was working completely fine before I left for three days when I came back I tried starting it up, it beeped a bunch and their was a red light on beneath the cpu fan connecter. I thought it was the cpu cooler so I bought a new one and replaced it and still having the exact same problem. I have tried starting it up with only 1 stick of ram but nothing. I am out of ideas please help, the problem is I don't even know what the problem really is because the mobo read out says FF, so it should work fine but it doesnt!
my computer specs are
mobo: evga 750i SLI
Cpu: intel core 2 quad q6600 2.4ghz
ram: 4 gbs of G.skill
PSU: OCZ gxs600 500w
gpu: XFX 260 gtx
I'm really at a lost any help would be much appreciated thanks.

do any fans turn on when you press the power button? I have a similiar board, a 780i evga board. A red light means there is something wrong with the power. I am pretty certain its your power supply. What brand is it btw? I would first check to see if all the fans are plugged in, including the cpu fan. Also try reseating your heatsink and see if it works. If these things don't work then its your psu most likely.

750i E173 or E175 part number?

If E173 then grab a dual core, it HATES quads.

What does the error code say?
4-year build.
