Looking for some help!

sup guys im new here!

Anyway, Over the past 3 years ive gone through about 4 hard drives. Not cool.

I got so fed up with the drives dying I just started pulling them out of my old computers I had in storage and laying around because I was short on cash, i would use them until they died.

Anyway conditions have gotten ALOT better around here and im looking to replace the drive in my PC now, because its starting to be a little... erm.. odd. its a really crappy no name 250 gig drive. I feel like its really bottlenecking my computer because I never lag on games even at max settings, but they take forever to load up.

It also makes my windows performance score thingy-mabobber a 5.5 when EVERYTHING else is higher than 7... time to go.

I have 70$ and im looking for the best bang for buck. I play alot of games and wouldnt need more than 500GB. Whats really the fastest hard drive on the market for that price?

Ive been looking around and seeing all different prices and stuff. Im jusy looking for a straight out answer.

It sounds like with the kind of storage you want, you will need to just by a regular old 7,200 rpm SATA drive. Perhaps you should also invest in a grounding cable for you case too.

Also you Windows rating won't go up past 5.9 unless you switch to a SSD. Even a RAID 0 (with non-SSDs) or similar won't change it.

Yeah man, id LOVE an SSD but at their current prices, its not worth it.

Im thinking about this drive. I hear the WD Caviar Black's are good drives.

For that price range you can get a 1TB Samsung F3. The higher capacity means the disk is more dense, and therefore faster.

I'm sure other people can explain that better. But from what I gather, in your price range that's probably the best deal. Or you can go Caviar Black. F3's are usually cheaper though, and you can find good deals if you look around online. I just got an F3 for $53 shipped. No MIR's.
