is it worth to buy Alienware area 51 ?

Thread Starter
is it worth to buy Alienware area 51 for $1900? its open box item with one year manufacture warranty.

I really like this case, and it looks like they keep their value over time, comparing to everything else, because bunch of noobs thinks that it's most powerful system out there.

corsair h50
i7 920
6gb ram
2tb HD
ATi 5870
Power supply: 1100

that is no where close to worth $1900 of PC parts right now.

if you want to spend $1900 you can build a lot better rig than that thing.
Theres always a massive premium on prebuilt pc's. $1900 is still a lot. Go add all the items to a cart on the egg and a nice case. See how much that would run you. I'd say $1550 max.

You can buy alienware cases at microcenter(s). Build the pc and look to see if your local microcenter has the case you wanted. I was able to find a alienware case for about 80 bucks at microcenter and use parts I already had lying around to build a modest pc that is now folding 24/7.

well, the money you saved by going custom will probably net you more money than selling that overpriced rig later to some newb who would buy it over the price.

An 1100 Watt power supply is completely unnecessary with that build.

A 920 can be found for around $200 on ebay.

And that leaves you with about $1200 to spend on a case.............

Edit: Forgot a motherboard, but you get my point.
