Which HDD For Gaming?

Thread Starter
Hey,

I have a couple of older HDD's laying around, and I want to know which is the fastest out of them all. (capacity is NOT an issue.) I'm building a budget gaming rig, so I might as well do my best to squeeze every FPS I can get out of it:

1) Seagate Barracuda ST3200822AS

2) Seagate DiamondMax 23 STM3250318AS

3) Seagate ST3160318AS

4) 4) Maxtor MaXLine III

5) Western Digital WD3200AAJS << Looks Like It's Dead! Sorry guys!

As I already mentioned, capacity is NOT an issue as no more then 10 games will be installed. The question is, which is the quickest out of them? (even if its a split second... It's still a bonus.)

Thanks!

I'd go with the WD Blue 320GB.

Nah, budget gaming, so I'm making use of what I have laying around the house. I just checked and it seems the WD seems to be half broken. When you hook it up and browse around the files, it locks up the system, and you hear the drive spin down. Look's like someone may have dropped it while moving it or something. What a shame.

What is the second best out of the lot?

Sorry guys, but I think the WD died somewhere along the lines. Seems to spin down and crash the system after about 2 minutes.
