Stock 955 cooler on 255

OK, so I was using the stock cooler from a fried 955 on my 1090 (the 1090's heatsink was pretty scuffed, same heatsink anyways). I upgraded the 1090 to an H50. I've been building a HTPC with an X2 255.

Do you think I would gain anything from using the 955's cooler in place of the stock 255's cooler? It's a larger heatsink with copper pipes, obviously. I'm thinking I could keep the HTPC rig a little quieter if the fan doesn't need to spin up as much. If it's awash, I'll keep it as is or get an aftermarket, quiet cooler for the 255.

It will help.
Just remember, for some reason the Phenom II HSF is hard to put on Athlon II Processors.
The amount of force required to get my 965 cooler on my old 255 gave me fits. It does the same thing on my X3.
