Perc 5i question

Hey all,

Just a quick question. I've got a bid going for a PERC 5i which I think i have a good chance to get and was planning to use it in my Asus P8P67 (http://www.asus.com/product.aspx?P_ID=Qx3PdnZI9Pq9BcIU) and as I sat there looking at the board and then reading on the card again, numbers in my head started to not add up. So let me see if I have this right:

As the PERC is a Pcie x8 that means it can go in either an x8 or an x16 right? And with the particular model of Mobo i got having:

1 x PCIe 2.0 x16 (single at x16)
1 x PCIe 2.0 x16 * (max. at x4 mode [Black])
2 x PCIe 2.0 x1
3 x PCI

My plans for this card will not work with my plans to CrossFire 2 6870's as there isnt enough compatible slots?
