Hi Mate

I got 4 ssd x 160gb =640gb.

1. Do i need to use Raid or just use single.
2. Do i need to partition if this ssd use Raid.

Thanks

To use these drives together you must RAID them. This will greatly increase the speed of your drives and collude them into one. Note that you will have very bad reliability in RAID 0. Although it makes no sense to set a redundancy for SSDs. Your decision to partition will be unaffected by the decision to RAID. RAID makes them one disc, whether you choose to partition that is up to you.

Where in India are you from?

Really depends on the controller you're using. I believe the new intel controllers do indeed run RAID. But yes without TRIM the speeds of the SSD will degrade over time. I advise if you plan on running those in RAID 0, do not store any important information on them.

Thats cool im from Mumbai too, South Bombay

Yes it will be 640gb but you dont need to partition. You won't benefit from it at all. Why do you want to partition? The only reason you would in this case would be if you wanted to organize your files.
