now that 1100T is in a reasonable price range. if bulldozer doesnt have a AM3 version then im pouncing on that X6 beast!
By the time bulldozer rolls out, you'd be stuck with a processor worth $200 less than what you paid for.

The most expensive processor is $239, so what are you referring to when you say it'll drop in price by $200?

Let's take the Phenom 2 965BE for example.

It -used- to cost 350 usd off newegg. Now it's at 155 usd. =P

I'd rather have Athlon II X4 price drops, even though they're well-priced already

Also, my 1090T is going to be worthless soon -_- I'll give it to my girlfriend in 5 months :/

It is almost 2 years old. Depreciation is not unusual.

Besides, would you rather the chips stay like this?

Not a far jump to an i7. If you already own a Q9xxx set, sell that, add 50 bucks more, you get an i7!

So. Yes.

And what about the 1090T. Wasnt it at 350 usd at release?

None of that backs your original statement. None of the chips sell for $350 and the timeframe you're comparing it to varies by roughly 22 months. Do you honestly believe a $239 processor will drop to $39 within 2 months? I'll buy whatever your dealer is selling you!

I remember seeing the 1090T BE up on Newegg for 300~350.

How much is that now?
