Time for me to put an X6 in my HTPC so I can encode while I decode.

He's waiting for the release of BD as it seems so 1100Ts will probably be cheaper than $239 at that time. Even if he bought it now, he should still be able to pull over $100 for it after BD release.

How much did milk cost in 1843? Do you see how both have nothing to do with your inaccurate statement regarding today's prices? You're running in circles and have said nothing to explain your original statement. Show me any of the processors being discussed at the prices posted dropping by $200 when Bulldozer launches as you stated. It was a ridiculous statement and you're running in circles trying to defend it.

We'll have to wait and see.

Then you'll tell me the 1090T's a two year old processor so there's no point in it!

I like how this works, that a situation is in your favor. We've already seen the 1090T drop by ~100 usd from $300 to $200.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-849-_-Product

Of course, I cant pull up old newegg prices so, my proof is nil at the moment. All I know is release price of ~300.

Edit:
http://www.overclock.net/amd-cpus/72...get-1090t.html
Found. The answer's on the title.

1090T was $310 at release. Dropped 110 USD and is now $199. Yay.

Or any of intel's last generation dual cores?
Useless comment is useless, why both comparing CPUs in non CPU intensive applications? Your comment baffles me!
For 90% of people, the difference between an i7-980x at 5 Ghz and a core 2 duo is not noticeable, yet we do not equate their processing power.

Not sure how the comment baffles you. they are a close comparison in all things... if you want your bench marks and show me what it is close to then please post and be constructive to the conversation.

I picked up a X6 1090T a few months back for $230 Can and correct me if I'm wrong but it is one of the fastest CPU's AMD makes.
Now if I go to new egg and click CPU /desktop/$1000-$1250 i get the Intel Core i7-975 Extreme Edition Bloomfield 3.33GHz 4 x 256KB L2 Cache 8MB L3 Cache LGA 1366 130W Quad-Core Processor BX80601975 @$1,049.99 .

Now if I sit and look at the two I'm pretty sure I wont see much of a difference in performance in real life uses. Maybe if I sat a forum geek that read stats all day could, but for that kinda money I am damn sure I can't see the difference! I am not being cheap and I'm not bashing anyone I'm just not living in my moms basement and spending all my money on tech gear.

And an AMD Athlon 1800 xp sold for over $125 and now it's worth nothing. None of that has anything to do with the statement I've been asking you to defend. You claimed that if a member bought a processor on the published list showing the new discounts that it would drop $200 in price before Bulldozer launched. The most expensive cpu is priced at $239 today, so at best you're claiming an 1100t will cost $39 when Bulldozer launches. Not only is your statement laughable, but you're actually trying to defend it

Just stating facts. You seem to be contradicting the first part of your para with the second half.

Direct comparison. In anything other than sheer GFLOPs (due to Deneb's performance in that specific area), and gaming FPS (due to GPU more often being the limiter), Core2Quads.
